Driffield 2024
STATEMENT 25th August 2024
Following the abandonment of the show site, after consultation with the tenting contractor, the Society were advised to ensure that all persons were removed from the site to a safe place, which was quickly done.
It was clear that the Show would not be able to take place for two days due to the tents requiring to be inspected, re-positioned and re-erected an as such following the advice given, cancellation was the only option.
A a committee we have much work to do in the coming weeks, in order to get the full picture of how this catastrophic event will impact the Society. We respectfully ask that sufficient time is given to us in order to do this.
Driffield has always tried to maintain a great relationship with its exhibitors and partners - without them nothing would happen.
A further statement will be released in due course.

HEALTH & SAFETY
"Driffield Championship Dog Show Society takes the welfare of it's exhibitors and staff very seriously, and our show will be held under the guidance of all applicable governmental, local authority & Kennel Club policies. We will have in place a full risk assessment for the show which we will publish in conjunction with the opening of entries, and all required control measures in place throughout the 4 days of the event. The risk assessment will cover any partner shows bringing exhibitors onto the showground for coordinated events."
Driffield Championship Dog Show Society would like to offer any Breed Club / Society the opportunity to hold an event during the same days and at the same venue as our Championship Show.
